This is a one-week, intensive certification in Spiritual Psychology with emphasis in Non-duality, leading to the mastery of living life from Consciousness, and learning how to counsel and coach others to attain this same goal - the ultimate goal of life.
Empirical Psychology is founded on humanistic philosophy (same as all western sciences). This philosophy is founded on the limited premise that "we are human beings" and the erroneous premise "that life ends when the body dies." Based on these premises with little truth, is difficult to create an effective, healing psychology.
Spiritual psychology is based on the spiritual premise that we are souls, or divine beings, living a human experience (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin; French Philosopher). Non-duality, is founded on the premise that we are Consciousness itself. Based on these higher premises, is possible to create a powerful, healing psychology.
This Certification program is presented in Costa Rica at the Samasati Nature Retreat. Program (Hours of training and FREE time): Day 1: arrival and settling in. Day 2: Morning; four hours of SPC training. Afternoon; canopy tour or similar. DAY 3: Morning; four hours of SPC training. Afternoon; beach or similar. Day 4: Morning; four hours of SPC training. Afternoon; Cahuita National Park or similar. Day 5: Eight to ten hours of SPC training. Day 6 : Eight to ten hours of SPC training. Day 7: beach – waterfall - etc. activities. Day 8: Departure back to LA.

A One Week Intensive Certification at Samasati, Costa Rica
Day One (4 hours of training):
Counseling and Healing Through the Expanded Perspective of the Soul.
The birth of individuality -- how the souls comes into being and becomes separated from Spirit. Levels of soul development. The soul's compassionate accountability. Vocation is a soul issue. Finding the client's soul vocation. Life purpose and the script for an incarnation. The agreements we signed for before incarnating, and how they control our experience. Application of the soul perspective to counseling, most especially to dealing with losses and grief.

Day Two (4 hours of training):
Understanding Life, and Counseling and Healing Through The Map of Consciousness.
The kinesiological test a window to discern truth from falsehood. Assessing and healing shame, guilt, despair, fear, sadness, anger and excessive pride, and how to approach these issues in counseling. Applying the Map of Consciousness to the spiritual path -- discerning true from false spiritual teachings.

Day Three (4 hours):
From Victim to Victor and from Victor to Vehicle
The student learns to use the powerful Victim, Victor and Vehicle model to help his or her client move from the Traditional to the Metaphysical and eventually to the Mystical state. This paradigm is a powerful assessment tool. It also helps the client realize where he or she is stuck in the victim (traditional) role, or in the victor (metaphysical) role. Additionally, it points the precise direction they need to move towards, to firmly establish themselves in the ultimate, vehicle, mystical state

Day Four (8 to 10 hours):
The Great Jnanis (non-dual teachers) of India
Here the student learns about the lives and teachings of the great Jnanis of India, the founding fathers of Non-Duality in East and West. Their teachings include invaluable practices and concepts like Self-inquiry, the relative vs. the absolute perspective, free will vs. predetermination, Liberation by relinquishing the sense of authorship, and more.

Day 5 (8 to 10 hours):
The Modern Advaitists of the West and, on Becoming an Effective Awareness Counselor and Coach
The modern Advaitists of the West are transforming our world from inside out. Here the student is taught how to live life from the center of his or her perceptions -- Awareness -- and, how to see the Divine not only beyond things, but also in everything -- Oneness. This day the student practices how to become an effective Awareness Counselor and Coach, by using skillfully the most powerful pointers and Non-Dual meditation techniques.

Juan Pablo Girardi, MS, MA, Founder of the Brain Optimization Institute and the University of Healing Arts
In his early twenties Juan Pablo pursued studies in engineering in the most prestigious university of Chile at that time — the Catholic University of Santiago. This was a six to seven-year full-time commitment. At age twenty three, he became interested in yoga and the pursuit of happiness and enlightenment - a pursuit that continued for more than 30 years. At 32 he enrolled in a Masters Program in Psychology Counseling. After completing 3,000 hours of supervised psychotherapy, and passing required tests for licensing, he obtained his California license as a Marriage Family Therapist (MFT).
He practiced psychotherapy full-time for over fifteen years. Eventually, he stopped renewing his license and is presently dedicated full-time to the field of education. He has taught, or is presently teaching, Spiritual Psychology, Psychology of Consciousness, Brain Nutrition Therapy, Life Coaching and Biofeedback.
In January, 2005, Juan Pablo and his wife Viviana founded the Brain Optimization Institute, and subsequently The University of Healing Arts. As a teacher, he and his associates are intent on communicating what they have learned through a lifetime dedicated to clinical and healing work, personal development and spirituality. For more than seventeen years, Juan has used the techniques and concepts taught in this certification to help his clients overcome a wide variety of issues. In the practice of the counseling profession, it has been his greatest joy to help others reconnect with Consciousness, as facilitating this process is the ultimate healing.
